RoundhouseOne (RH1) is dedicated to developing and delivering advanced data analytics products that enable organizations to evaluate their spatial requirements and enhance workplace efficiency. By promoting the practice of Spatial Intelligence, RH1 aims to provide organizations with the tools needed for informed decision-making on capital and operational expenditures to improve workplace performance.

Challenge:

RH1 approached us with a challenge to design and develop a Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics platform. This platform needed to address critical questions about the physical environments of organizations, integrating human factors, environmental conditions, physical structures, and client values into actionable insights.

Our Solution:

To meet RH1's needs, we embarked on a project to create a comprehensive BI and Analytics platform. This involved several key steps:

Platform Development: The BI and Analytics platform was developed to offer a full spectrum of strategic and tactical services. It focuses on addressing the major concerns organizations have about their physical environments, from the macro perspective of strategic planning to the micro-level of operational adjustments.

Data Transformation and Analysis: The gathered data was transformed, analyzed, and visualized to relate directly to our clients' questions. This process allowed us to convert raw data into meaningful insights, which could then inform strategic decisions about workplace optimization.

Environmental Sensor Network: We designed and implemented a network of environmental sensors to collect data on air quality, thermal comfort, light levels, noise levels, and presence (motion). This data collection was crucial for understanding the various factors that affect workplace environments.

Impact:

The platform has become an essential tool for a wide range of large organizations, including government agencies like the Office of Naval Research and the Pacific Fleet, unified school districts, universities, large sports facilities, and medical institutions. These organizations use the platform to gain a deeper understanding of their physical assets, which in turn helps them to right-size or design new facilities more effectively.
